We purchased two, 100 year old buildings that we wanted to restore for heritage purposes. After much research we discovered period wood was required to keep them as heritage buildings. The search was on, and we answered an ad to remove an old grainery. We succeeded in de-constructing this building and stumbled upon a business opportunity.
We learned that there were many farmers needing old out-buildings, barns, graineries and old fencing removed. The service we provide is deconstructing and removal as an alternative option for the landowner/farmer to demolishing and burning these century old structures.
We are Ian and Doreen and have a passion for reclaiming and reusing materials. Ian has his City and Guilds with an Advanced Craft Certificate in Machine Woodworking and Joinery from the UK. He has also been a cabinet maker, carpenter and has been machining all types of wood for over 35 years. Doreen was raised in an environment of saving rejected materials to re-use and re-purpose, of course this was recycling before the term became trendy. Growing up she helped her parents and brother build a summer cabin from materials destined for the landfill. A passion for re-claiming useful items was born.
We remove old sheds, graineries, out-buildings, fencing and barns. We value the scarcity and uniqueness of old wood products and materials and strive to use 100% of collected materials.
We are often contacted by landowners who want an old unused building or fencing removed, we strive to build positive relationships with landowners and respect their property by leaving it immaculate upon a building removal (no nails or debris). We do not remove concrete.
We are continually sourcing and adding to our portfolio of architecturally salvageable materials and wood. Check back often or call for specific inquires. We appreciate your interest.
